High-quality narrow fabrics are also an elementary component of the product portfolio. Their characteristics in the typical products elastic bands, rubber bands, woven tapes and straps are just as varied as their range of applications.
Narrow fabrics are generally textile fabrics which consist of two mutually perpendicular thread systems ("warp" and "weft"). By lifting and lowering the longitudinal threads ("chain") creates a compartment through which the cross-running thread ("shot") is entered. The resulting thread crossing is referred to as "binding". Usually, the number of weft and warp threads in the binding repeats. This is how the rapport is created. The density of the fabric depends on the number of interwoven threads. The higher the number of threads per cm fails, the denser and thus durable and resistant the textile surface.
